On the way through Lví důl you can see the meadow enclave of Šímovy chalupy - typical architecture of the Eastern Krkonoše. Only nine of the original twelve buildings remain. All of them have been declared cultural monuments. Chalet No. 31 is architecturally unique for its hay dormer, the so-called "Maloúpský hay dormer", the last fifteen of its kind in the world
