On the way through Lví důl you can see the meadow enclave of Šímovy chalupy chalets - the typical architecture of the Eastern Krkonoše mnt. Only nine of the original twelve buildings have survived. All of them have been declared cultural monuments. Architectural uniqueness is chalet No. 31, which is exceptional for its hay dormer, called "maloúpský hay dormer", the last fifteen of its kind in the world.
