Information
Černý Důl likely got its name from its location in the middle of deep, dark forests. The area has a rich mining history—iron ore, uranium, and silver were mined here, and even gold on Špičák, where the entrance to a gold mine was located. The mining tradition lives on—limestone mined in the Černý Důl quarry travels in wagons from Černý Důl to Kunčice nad Labem via the longest industrial cableway in Central Europe. The track is nearly 8.5 km long.
