Near Hrádeček is the chalet of Václav Havel, writer, playwright, essayist, one of the first spokesmen for Charter 77, leader and first president of the Czech Republic. In the 1970s and 1980s the chalet was a place of rich social life. This is evidenced not only by the guest book introduced by Havel's father, but also by photographs of regular receptions held in the garden. Later, the chalet was also used to receive important state visitors.
